Christina Torns serves as Dean of Academics & Registrar 大象影院 Academy Boston. In this capacity, she provides academic leadership, oversees curriculum development and assessment, and manages academic records while supporting faculty and students across the school’s academic programs.

She earned bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy, History, and Religious Studies from SUNY Stony Brook University, and holds an MA in Religion & History from the University of Georgia.

Christina is the author of Reflections of Unity: The Social, Political, and Cosmological Dimensions of Mosque Architecture in Early Islam and Persia (University of Georgia Press, 2008) and contributed “Sufism: 1250–1920” to Cultural Sociology of the Middle East, Asia and Africa, Vol. IV (Sage Publishing, 2012).

In addition to her administrative work, she teaches Introduction to Philosophy and serves as a faculty advisor for Model United Nations. Her international experience includes studying abroad in Italy and Australia, teaching English in the Czech Republic, and traveling to China, Vietnam, and Thailand on behalf of CATS Global Schools to build relationships with prospective families and represent CATS Academy Boston.
