Theresa Ekhelar is a former professional basketball player and emerging leader in student-athlete development and sports operations. Most recently, she served as Student-Athlete Development and Success Coordinator at Rutgers University, where she supported more than 750 student-athletes through career development, leadership programming, SAAC initiatives, and community engagement. She was also selected for the NBA’s highly competitive Future Basketball Operations Stars (FBOS) program, gaining experience in player development, analytics, international operations, and NBA and WNBA business strategy.
Earlier in her career, Ekhelar worked in operations within the Championship and Alliances department at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). A former EuroLeague professional player and 2019 Arab Champion with Beirut Club, she also competed collegiately at The Ohio State University and West Virginia University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multidisciplinary Studies and General Business Marketing with a focus on advertising, entertainment media, and sport communications.
